Worth It! (Things to try, read, watch, hear, and discuss)

To Do List

Being somewhat hooked on to do lists, I have day like this about once a week, but today is the official Still Need To Do Day. Today is a great day to:

  • Take stock of the things you wanted to accomplish in 2019, and try to get in a few you’ve left untried or unfinished.
  • Tackle some of the things you set aside during the rush of the holidays.
  • Set yourself up for a clean slate for a new week/month/year.

I’m concentrating on two things today. First, post-holiday business, like cleaning and finding a home for Christmas gifts. This year, I received lots of stuff for the house, so I have a pile of things to put up or put away. Second, for the past week I’ve completely unplugged from my job (which is pretty rare for me), so I have emails to read and material to review so I’m ready to hit the ground running when business resumes.

You Can Do It

What’s on your list?

  1. I have a habit of getting all my stuff on my to-do list done before lunch time then feeling like I’m wasting the rest of my day 😂

If you finish your list by lunch, it means you’ve earned some guilt-free leisure time! I’m planning to knock my list out as fast as possible so I can spend this evening with a book. 🙂

I have so much on my to do list! I try to get done what I can and try to get everything done day by day. Otherwise, I can get overwhelmed

It’s definitely important to prioritize and break things down, or the list will smother you.

Hi Amanda, love your posts. I’m trying to finish some short stories that have been hanging around on my laptop for too long!

  5. I have always kept a yearly calendar that I mark everything I have to do for each day. Now that I’m retired it is easier to finish each day.

  6. I’m sure you’ve talked about this already, but what do you do for work, exactly? You don’t have to disclose any details that you don’t want to.

I actually don’t talk much about the details, except that I work a lot. Lol
I work on different projects, mostly centered on training and development.

      1. Oh really, what sorts of training and development? That sounds quite intriguing, actually.

  7. I’ve got one book I’d like to finish before the year is out and one cardigan I need to whip stitch together! Other than that, I’m happy with my to do list!
